Furry Tails: Searching For A Forever Home (5/4)

Are you looking to bring a pet into your home? Local animal shelters are a great place to find a furry companion. So, as part of Furry Tails, I'll be doing an ongoing feature on adoptable pets from local animal shelters once a week. If you have room in your heart and are looking to bring a lovable ball of fur into your home, maybe one of these guys is meant to be a part of your family!

Dory

Animal Friends
Meet Dory! She's a big, playful snuggle-bug who has been looking for just the right forever home for some time now. Could it be yours?

Animal Friends says:
"Dory was originally brought to us as a transfer as a very cute little puppy. She has been adopted twice already, and we think that the third time will be a charm! She was initially adopted for three days and then returned because they could not handle a 10-month-old baby and a puppy. Dory was then adopted by a family who loved her for two years but considered returning her several times due to an unstable living situation. During this time, she grew into a wonderful dog who loves people! Eventually, they brought her back because she was too big for their apartment and played too rough with their young children.

"Dory would be overjoyed to find a forever family who loves to snuggle and has somewhat older children. She is a big girl and enthusiastically jumps on people who she loves, so we recommend that children be older than 12. Dory is timid and nervous about meeting new people, but loves people once she gets to know them. She has been reactive on leash with other dogs, but became playful when introduced formally to another dog. We would be happy to introduce your dog to Dory to see if they get along.

"Dory is up to date on her shots, microchipped, and spayed. If you think that Dory might be a great fit for your family please ask to meet with an adoption counselor!

"Best of all, by adopting from Animal Friends, you make it possible for them to rescue and care for another pet who truly needs help. So, what are you waiting for? Let's sit down together!"
