Decision Day For Baldwin's Sterling Jenkins

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – It's decision day for Baldwin offensive tackle Sterling Jenkins.
Would it be Penn State or Ohio State?

Jenkins, at 6 feet 8 inches tall and 310 pounds, is the top-rated 2015 recruit in Pennsylvania and is Rivals.com's 34th ranked player in the country.

In addition to Ohio State and Penn State, Jenkins was also offered scholarships from the likes of Pitt, Georgia, Michigan, Alabama, Michigan State and Nebraska.

Jenkins and his family made one final visit to State College yesterday and the Nittany Lions were considered the heavy favorites to land him.

So, the James Franklin recruiting machine continues.

With Jenkins' verbal commitment, that gives Penn State 14 recruits for the Class of 2015.

Franklin is not only getting recruits, he's getting blue-chip ones. Entering today, Penn State had the second best team recruiting rankings in the country, trailing only Alabama.

The commitment of Jenkins also strengthens Franklin's declaration to "Dominate the state."

Six of the Nittany Lions' 14 verbal commitments are from Pennsylvania: Saquon Barkley, Ryan Bates, Ryan Buchholz, Jake Cooper and Andrew Robinson.

The next player Franklin would like to add from Western Pa. is Central Valley's CB/WR Jordan Whitehead.
