Gadget Guru Dr. Frank Viggiano Talks Discusses Latest Gadgets

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - Dr. Frank Viggiano joined Mike Pintek to talk about the new gadgets this month!

Things he talked about included the Samsung Note Pro, which performs word processing just like a computer. Then, he touched on what computers/laptops are the best for a college freshman for under $500. There was also the debate of how to protect your Windows 7 computer.

Gadget Guru Part 1

Dr. Frank suggests that all mobile, tablet, and computer users download some type of anti-virus software. But, since Windows XP is not supported anymore, some users are without that protection. AVAST is a program that is free and can be downloaded for all types of electronics to give basic protection.

He suggests all Internet users NOT click on any pop-up advertisement for fear of it being a virus.

Another product that mothers of little children should look into, is a new baby monitoring system Phillips created the Avent baby monitors that have their own Wi-Fi built in and can range 500 feet from each other. Each unit has a video screen and night light as well as the ability to play lullabies. The video recording will shut off when the child has fallen asleep to save battery life, but as soon as the child awakes, the unit turns right back on and will alert you.
