Andrew McCutchen: 'I Don't Get Nervous' About Pirates' Rough Start

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Pirates centerfielder Andrew McCutchen joined "The Fan Morning Show" this week to talk about the team's 2014 season and how they might be able to turn things around after a rough start.

McCutchen told the guys that he isn't too worried about how things have started off.

"I don't get nervous at all, actually," McCutchen said. "It's something where we know that we can just keep playing, we've got a lot of ball left, and just as bad as we're doing, we know that we can pick it back up and get going again, and get on a roll here."

"We've been here before," McCutchen said. "I've been here before. It's nothing new, really, as far as just being down and having to play catch-up, that's really nothing that surprises me or makes me nervous, because I've been here before. So, we just have to stay positive and keep doing what we know that we can do, and just keep playing hard."

You can join McCutchen as well as teammates Gerrit Cole, Neil Walker, Francisco Liriano, and Pedro Alvarez at the Celebration of the Pittsburgh Pirates Autograph and Memorabilia Show on Saturday, May 24, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. at the David L Lawrence Convention Center.

Former Pirates Bill Mazeroski, Steve Blass, Manny Sanguillen, Dave Parker, Bill Madlock, and Kent Tekulve are also scheduled to appear.
