PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) – The Pennsylvania Rebellion, of the National Pro Fastpitch League, have their home opener Thursday night.
Before the game, pitcher Sarah Pauly joined The Fan’s Andrew Fillipponi to talk about what their team is all about.
The Rebellion are already 2-2 having started the year on the road, but Pauly says they’re hearing a lot of buzz about their home opener.
“We’ve heard a lot about how the game is going to be packed, and just being around in the area the past couple of weeks, everyone we run into is saying how excited they are to come watch us play,” Pauly said. “That’s very nice to hear, but as players, we are just excited to be able to finally play in the stadium that we’ve been practicing in and just give everybody a good show and show everybody what the NPF is all about.”
Pauly also talked about the team’s performance early in the season.
“We started last weekend against the Pride in Maryland,” Pauly said. “We played two games in Salisbury and two games in Baltimore. It went well, we went 2-2 with them. I pitched the first game, we lost that game, and then I ended up coming in in the third game and we ended up winning it.”
The Rebellion will be at home starting Thursday, June 5 through Sunday, June 8.
