Firefighters Called To 4-Alarm Apartment Building Fire
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Firefighters were called out to battle a four-alarm apartment building fire in the Garfield area of Pittsburgh.
The blaze broke out at 5402 Broad Street just before 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Eight of the 12-apartments were occupied, but no one was injured.
It was first reported as a fire through the roof of the structure, although most of the damage is in the back of the building.
Firefighters say the blaze went four-alarms dues to the heat and humidity. They called in additional resources to help relieve crews.
No word on how it started, the cause is under investigation.
