Police Make Arrest In 2005 Braddock Homicide

BRADDOCK (KDKA) -- Allegheny County Police say have taken two people into custody in connection with a 2005 fatal shooting cold case in Braddock.

According to police, they have arrested 28-year-old Tiaron Moses of Braddock along with Terrance Smith in the shooting death of 24-year-old Jeffrey Williams on July 1, 2005.

Two teenage girls walking in the 500-block of Center Avenue found Williams' body in a vacant lot near the borough's community playground.

He had been shot in the chest.

Allegheny County Police say investigators at the time believed that more than one person was involved.

Police issued arrest warrants for Moses and Smith on Tuesday.

Moses was taken into custody around 2 p.m. Wednesday in Braddock and is charged with homicide and firearms violations.

He is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.

Smith was already serving time in the jail in a separate incident at the time of his arrest.
