Pens To Face Ducks In Next Season's Home Opener
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- As an off-season of major changes continues for the Penguins, today they learned when and who they'll be playing in next season's home opener.
The NHL has released its 2014-15 home opener schedule for all teams.
And it'll be a battle of the birds at CONSOL Energy Center on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.
The Penguins will welcome Ryan Getzlaf and the Anaheim Ducks for their home opener.
The Ducks were also knocked out in the second round of the playoffs by the eventual Stanley Cup champions, the Los Angeles Kings.
The rest of the schedule will be released Sunday.
