Record Jackpot Of More Than $250,000 Set At Rivers Casino

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A record jackpot was set Monday at Rivers Casino when a lucky guest won more than $250,000 at one of the casino’s slot machines.

The winner, who preferred to remain anonymous, won $260,767 in cash while playing a $1 Quick Hit Platinum slot machine. This jackpot surpassed Rivers Casino’s previous record by more than $77,000.

“We’ve had several big winners recently, but it’s always exciting to set a new record,” said Bud Green, Rivers Casino assistant general manager. “Our team enjoys celebrating with guests when we’re able to payout a big jackpot. Congrats to our latest winner!”

This is the second big win at a $1 Quick Hit Platinum machine in the past few months. In April, a guest won $182,966 at one of these slot machines.

Rivers Casino has awarded more than $406 million in jackpots since it opened in August 2009. A jackpot is defined as a win of $1,200 or more.
