Allentown Shooting Leaves 1 Man Dead

ALLENTOWN (KDKA) – Pittsburgh Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in Allentown early Sunday morning.

According to police, the shooting happened near the intersection of Allen Street and Mariton Way around 1:52 a.m.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Derrick Miles, 44, of McKees Rocks, on the ground next to a bicycle.

Miles was transported to UPMC Mercy Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 2:26 a.m. His name has not been released.

Police believe the victim became involved in an argument outside of Stretches Bar.

No other information has been released at this time.
