Bill Cowher: Steelers Are Faster Heading Into 2014

PITTSBURGH (KDKA 93-7 The Fan)- CBS NFL Analyst and former Steelers coach Bill Cowher joined “The Fan Morning Show” Wednesday.

Cowher said that he thinks that the Steelers got faster in the offseason.

“They got faster; Dri Archer, I like the pickup of LeGarrette Blount. I think even the offensive line, bringing Mike Munchak in I think will help immensely,” Cowher said. “I think the big key for them is Markus Wheaton has got to make the next step.”

Guest co-host Larry Foote asked Cowher about Joey Porter joining the Steelers’ coaching staff.

“There’s a lot of things that you foresee in life, and seeing Joey Porter on the sidelines coaching is not one that I saw,” Cowher said. “But, you know what, I think if Joey just continues to take that passion that he has for the game, I think he has a lot of insight, a lot he can give to these young guys that they have right now.”
