1 Dead, 1 Injured In Westmoreland Co. Crash

EAST HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – One person was killed and another suffered minor injuries in a Westmoreland County accident Saturday afternoon.

According to police, the accident happened on Mount Pleasant Road in East Huntingdon Township at 4:45 p.m.

A 2004 Honda Civic failed to negotiate a turn and crossed into the path of an oncoming 2009 Ford F-450.

The pickup truck attempted to stop, but impacted the passenger side of the Civic.

The unidentified driver of the Civic died in the crash. The unidentified driver of the pickup truck was taken to Frick Hospital with minor injuries.

Police are investigating the crash. But believe speed was a factor.
