PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Pirates broadcaster Bob Walk joined “The Fan Morning Show” in his regular weekly spot on Wednesday to talk about the team as it prepares to wrap up a three-game set against the Dodgers.

During the interview, Walk discussed Pedro Alvarez’s rough outing last night.

In the game, Alvarez missed badly on a routine throw to first and exited the game early due to discomfort in his left knee.

Walk told the guys that last night was a clear evidence of bigger issues for Alvarez.

“Before last night, I was really wondering, how much is this the mental thing?” Walk said. “Are we making too big of a deal out of it? But, in last night’s situation, you could have rolled the ball over there to first base and gotten an out. The throw was just horrendous. And after last night, I’m going, ‘Wow, there is something going on with him. He’s thinking about it.’ You could see it last night. And that’s a problem.”

Walk joins “The Fan Morning Show” Wednesdays at 8:40 a.m. during Pirates season.
