Former Steelers Wide Receiver Emmanuel Sanders Rips Big Ben

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Dropping the ball was something Emmanuel Sanders was very familiar with during his time with the Steelers, now he appears to be dropping the ball in the figurative sense as well.

As reported on by Pro Football Talk, Sanders talked with 104.3 The Fan in Denver and built up his current Quarterback, Peyton Manning, by tearing down his old one.

Sanders called Manning "a far better leader," because of the time he puts in after practice and working with his wide receivers.

Sanders added that he has "so much love for Ben (Roethlisberger)," but went on to say he's happy to have Peyton Manning as his Quarterback.

During his time with the Steelers, the former 3rd round pick never lived up to expectations, recording just 161 catches for 2,030 yards and 11 touchdowns over 4 seasons.

After not re-signing Sanders when his contract expired, the Steelers lost their former wideout to the Broncos as they offered him a three-year, $15 million contract with $6 million guaranteed.

Stay tuned to 93-7 The FAN for all the latest coverage of Steelers training camp.
