Wilkins Twp. Fatal Stabbing Suspect Dies After Shooting Self

WILKINS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - A man wanted in connection with a fatal stabbing died Sunday after shooting himself in the chest.

According to the medical examiner, William Arrington, 36, died around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

Arrington was accused in the death of his girlfriend, 32-year-old Delicious Jones.

Her body was found in a wooded area across the street from her home on McMasters Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

Initially, police said she was severely beaten and had a gash on her head. However, an autopsy report showed she was stabbed multiple times in her head, neck and body.

Police believe the stabbing happened during a fight with Arrington, who then dumped her body in the woods.

A neighbor's surveillance camera is believed to have captured scenes of the violent struggle.

Later Saturday, Arrington was found to be at a family member's home in Wilkinsburg, where he shot himself.

Jones has two daughters. Their grandfather told KDKA's Amy Wadas their ages 12 and 16. He also said there was something about Arrington he didn't like.

Jones' daughters are staying with family.
