Bean Bag Chairs Recalled After 2 Children Die

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A bean bag chair has been recalled after two children died after suffocating in the chair.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says 2.2 million Ace Bayou Bean Bag chairs are being recalled after a 13-year-old and 3-year-old died.

Officials say the bean bag chair has a zipper and children can crawl inside and choke on the foam beads or suffocate.

The chairs being recalled come in various sizes, shapes and colors – all say "ACE BAYOU CORP" on the tag.

These chairs were sold at Bon-Ton, Meijer, Pamida, School Specialty, Wayfair and Walmart, as well as online and on Amazon.
