School Board Member Arrested In Wedding Night Brawl A "No Show" At Meeting

McKEES ROCKS (KDKA) -- A member of a wedding party arrested last weekend after a brawl aboard the Gateway Clipper didn't show up in McKees Rocks Thursday evening where he's a member of the school board.

Brian Taylor, arrested on assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness charges, was a no show at a meeting of the Sto-Rox School District Board of Directors.

Taylor, 31, is a member of the board.

School Superintendent Terry DeCarbo said before the meeting, "Up to this point, we are working with our solicitor to see what action, if any, can be taken [against Taylor]."

As of now, though, Taylor continues to be a school board member in good standing.

Along with Taylor, the groom and the groom's brother were also arrested Sunday night after the new husband allegedly harassed a pregnant waitress aboard the Gateway Clipper.

Then, later, he scuffled with the woman's boyfriend.

The groom was 35-year-old Mark Williams of Crafton. His brother, 35-year-old David Williams, is an off-duty Pennsylvania state trooper who is now on leave.

Superintendent DeCarbo called the incident involving Taylor "a distraction. But our goal is to focus on academics and the performance of our students."
