At Least 2 Injured In Police Cruiser Crash

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A Pittsburgh Police officer and another person were hurt when a vehicle crashed into a police cruiser Friday night near UPMC Mercy Hospital.

The accident happened shortly after 10 p.m. on the Boulevard of the Allies near the hospital's entrance.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety Department spokesperson Sonya Toler, two officers were in the cruiser when the other vehicle smashed into the side of it.

The officer suffered minor hand injuries.

The other person also suffered minor injuries and was treated at Mercy Hospital.
