Record Low Temperatures Possible Overnight Into Monday

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The coolest stretch of weather our area has experienced since the first week of June will continue into the start of this week, which is the final week of summer 2014.

According to Meteorologist Kristin Emery, lows will dip into the upper 30s outside of Pittsburgh and will be near 42 degrees south of the city.

The record low for Pittsburgh International Airport for tonight is 41 degrees, which we will approach early Monday morning.

Patchy fog will develop toward the morning, but will give way to nice sunshine mixed with clouds through the day.

Highs Monday should near 70 degrees and after a few overnight showers into Tuesday morning, sunshine and dry, gorgeous weather will last through the week into the final weekend of summer.

We still have not officially hit 90 degrees at Pittsburgh International Airport all year and it now appears unlikely that we will.
