Pirates & Fans Excited For Return Trip To Postseason
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – With a 3-2 win over the Atlanta Braves Tuesday night, the Pittsburgh Pirates secured at least a Wild Card berth in the playoffs.
For the second straight year, the Pittsburgh Pirates will compete in the postseason. Fans and players alike have not stopped celebrating.

"It's surreal, it was surreal last year and it's surreal again, but you've got to cherish these moments as much as you can," Neil Walker said.
Manager Clint Hurdle praised his players for finding a way to get the job done again this season.
"No, this never gets old. The hours you put in the work, you put in the challenges, you have to meet during the season. Only a handful of teams get to do this and for us to get to do this back-to-back seasons now and in two different ways is a testament to everyone in the organization," Hurdle said.
As for the fans, they can't wait to see the Pirates back under the lights of the MLB postseason.
"I am just astounded. I love it. I am so excited," Judy Venturo said. "I was screaming and hollering. He's sound asleep. I scared the cat. He jumped up in the air. It was amazing."
"We're talking teamwork. I think Russell Martin has a lot to do with it. I think he brought a lot to the team, and he's having an outstanding year, so, McCutchen and J-Hay having an MVP season for him. Outstanding. The teamwork is what brought them to this point," Ed Vojtek said.
It's safe to say the hopes are high that things are different in the playoffs this year.
"I think they have a chance to make it, and I think they are doing a really good job so far. They have lost a few games, but they are making a good comeback," Michael Onder said.
If you think the players are content with just qualifying for the playoffs, think again.
"We have more work to do. That's what makes it so much fun," Josh Harrison said.
