Excited Pirates Fans Hunt For Wild Card Game Tickets

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Only the grass was flying at PNC Park Monday.

Field preparations are underway as anticipation rises for the showdown on Wednesday Night. Visions of a year ago are on everyone's mind.

"I had goose bumps the whole night," said Virginia Donina of North Huntingdon. "I was walking around with tears in my eyes."

"It will be a complete black out and completely intimidate the other team," said Brian Hartman of Nevillewood. "It will be wonderful and it will be a win."

So no one seems to doubt the atmosphere on Wednesday night will be electric, prompting the question: how much would you pay to be in one of those seats?

People we talked to said they'd pay $70, $100 and even as much as $500 to see the game.

Whatever your budget, don't waste your time at the box office – at least for now.

"I was trying to get tickets to the ball game … no tickets," said Christina Magnotta of Brookline.

We looked online and were able to find seats in the $70 to $100 range, depending on the website. And on StubHub, we found eats behind Starling Marte for $181, near first base for $209, at the end of the Pirates dugout for $278 and a couple of seats in the Lexus Club for $1,103 each.

Steep prices, but some fans say it's worth every penny.

"'Cause I love the Pirates," said one fan. "Always have, always will no matter what."
