Police Searching For Missing Greensburg Area Man

GREENSBURG (KDKA) – State Police are looking for a missing Greensburg man.

They say 41-year-old George Mesich has been missing since last Thursday.

Mesich lives with his mother near Greensburg, and is overdue for his medications and a hospital visit.

His family is worried for his health, and him possibly hurting himself or others.

"Without his medicine, he could be a harm to himself or someone else," said his sister Heather Schultz. "That's why we're concerned about this."

They say he is not taking his medication and is a paranoid schizophrenic.

The only thing troopers and his family have to go on isn't much.

"He left a written note saying, 'I'm moving out,' signed 'George D,'" Schultz said.

They haven't heard or seen him since last Thursday. He was supposed to get a shot in the morning.

George is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, 180 pounds, bu this weight fluctuates due to his medicine. He's believed to be in his 1998 Dodge Neon.

"Please come home," said Schultz. "We want to know that you at least have your medicine and are OK."

Police say if you see Mesich to call them immediately.
