Family: Lawrenceville Man Goes Missing, Home Found Ransacked

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh Police are asking for help finding a Lawrenceville man.

Police are looking for 34-year-old Andre Gray. He is described as a black male with a full beard, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds.

"My heart is broken," said Gray's mother, Victoria Gray Tillman. "That's my first-born son. I can relate to all the mothers that have lost their sons to violence period."

Tillman is desperate to hear from her son. Normally he calls every other day or so, but this time is different.

"My son informs me of everything," she said. "He may not inform me of the people, but he informs me of what he is about to do."

Alarmed, Tillman showed up at Gray's Lawrenceville home, using a spare key. What she found was heart breaking.

"There was blood on the floor, there was bleach, odor of bleach, duct tape," she said. "His place was ransacked, his big screen TV was stolen out of his bedroom, his two laptops were missing."

Police have been searching for Gray ever since.

The family believes someone is using Gray's phone to access his Facebook page. But his step-sister left her own message on the page: "This can not be the ending for your story, amen."

Pittsburgh Police are calling this case suspicious.

"Still piecing together the last hours he disappeared. Don't know the last sighting, which is why it's important for people to call us," Pittsburgh POlice Spokeswoman Sonya Toler said.

Police say they must be very careful with the investigation and don't want to go into detail of the evidence found in Gray's home.

"That's all part of the investigation and certain details like that are important not to put out. It could jeopardize the integrity of the investigation and prosecution," Toler said.

Gray's family says his dog is also missing.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Pittsburgh Police at (412)-323-7141.
