UFC President Dana White Talks UFC 180, State Of The Sport

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - UFC President Dana White joined the Starkey and Mueller show to talk about the upcoming UFC 180 in Mexico City, Mexico, on Saturday Nov. 15.

White opened things up talking about how important it was to him to get his sport into Mexico and the amount of success they've had since getting in there.

"When we bought this company, three no-brainers for me were the United States, Mexico and the UK, traditionally big boxing countries," White said. "It just took us a lot longer to get into Mexico than I thought it would."

White also talked about what it is about fighting that draws people in and in his mind, will keep drawing them in.

"Before a guy hit a puck into a net, before a guy threw a ball through a circle, before a guy hit a ball with a stick, two men were put on this earth, somebody threw a punch and whoever was standing around ran over and watched."
