Man Accused Of Terrorizing Ex's Family After Getting Break-Up Letter In Prison

MONESSEN (KDKA) -- Police are looking for a man accused of terrorizing his ex-girlfriend's family, including two of his own children, after she broke up with him through a letter while he was in prison.

At 44-years-old, Curtis Anthony Arnold of Donora has a significant criminal past.

"Apparently, he was incarcerated in Washington County," said Chief John Mandarino, of Monessen Police. "Sometime during his stay, she notified him she doesn't want to be with him anymore."

After he got out, police say Arnold came looking for the woman at her home on Park Manor Drive in Monessen. The only person home, however, was the woman's brother and four children.

"He forced his way in the house, basically held the children and the man there hostage," said Chief Mandarino.

Arnold asked the adult male where his ex-girlfriend was. Investigators say when the victim said, 'I don't know,' the beating began.

"It was a prolonged beating, it went on for hours," Chief Mandarino said. "He had some injuries that were significant. He had three fractures to his jaw."

Police say he's accused of denying the children, two of which are his own, food and forced them to use a bucket to relieve themselves. He's also accused of making threats.

"He made a threat he would kill their mother," said Chief Mandarino.

Nine hours after breaking in, Arnold left. The male victim was treated for his injuries, but Arnold remains on the run. Police say he must be found.

"In my eyes, this guys is capable of anything," Chief Mandarino added.

If you know Arnold's whereabouts, Monessen Police want you to give them a call. They say above all do not approach him because he's a very dangerous man.
