Late Night Tailgating: Tennessee Whiskey Shrimp Nachos

This week on "Steelers Late Night," Chef Anthony is making Tennessee Whiskey Shrimp Nachos!

STEELERS LATE NIGHT "Late Night Tailgating Recipes": Tennessee Whiskey Shrimp Nachos

Tennessee Whiskey Shrimp Nachos

Ingredients:

  • 16-20 size shrimp
  • 4 oz. salsa
  • 6 oz. sliced pepper rings
  • 6 oz. marinated black beans
  • 6 oz. pinto beans
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1 bundle of cilantro chopped
  • 8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 oz. Creole seasoning
  • 2 oz. whiskey de glaze shrimp
  • 1 bag of nachos

Preparation:

  1. Prep all ingredients and toast nachos in oven on 350 degrees for 7 minutes.
  2. Sauté shrimp in frying pan 3 minutes on each side until shrimp is firm. Next lower heat and add whiskey to deglaze. Cook an additional 3 minutes to cook out. Add seasoning to finish.
  3. Assemble all topping alternately over toasted nachos top with shrimp and top with sour cream and cilantro.

Roasted Turkey Sliders

Ingredients:

  • 1 breast of turkey season and roasted. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Until it reaches an internal temp of 165 degrees
  • 8 dinner rolls sliced
  • 8 slices of cheddar
  • 8 oz. BBQ sauce
  • 8 leaves of Romaine

Preparation:

  1. Slice rolls all the way through.
  2. Carve turkey down and reserve.
  3. Smear BBQ on roll and add lettuce to the bottom.
  4. Place turkey on roll. Add cheese and serve.

Fried Green Tomatoes

Ingredients:

  • 4 tomatoes sliced 1/2 in thick. Marinate in buttermilk 1 hour
  • Mix 8oz bread crumbs with 8oz panko crumbs

Preparation:

  1. Roll marinated tomatoes into crumb mixture.
  2. Shake off excess crumbs. Fry in oil at 375 degrees for 3 minutes on each side.
  3. Dry off on paper towel and serve immediately.
