Man Stable After Falling From 3rd-Story Window In Shadyside

SHADYSIDE (KDKA) –A man is in stable condition after falling out of a third story window in Shadyside.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety Spokeswoman Sonya Toler, a 22-year-old man fell out of a third-story, rear window during a party.

The incident happened in the 5500-block of Kentucky Avenue.

Bystanders helped the to the front of the building to await an ambulance.

When medics arrived, they discovered the man's right ankle was, "severely damaged."

The man was combative with medics and had to be restrained and sedated while being taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital.

The man's name has not been released.
