Ramon Foster Didn't Notice Roethlisberger's Injury, Would Welcome Ray Rice In On One Condition

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Pittsburgh Steelers guard Ramon Foster joined The Fan Morning Show in his regular weekly spot on Tuesday, following his team's loss to the New Orleans Saints.

When it came to the hand injury that Ben Roethlisberger suffered in the first quarter of Sunday's game, Foster told the guys that he actually wasn't aware that anything was wrong until the game was over.

"To be honest with you, I didn't notice it until I started hearing about it after the game," Foster said. "I didn't think there was much of a difference between him from when it got hit apparently until the end of the game... he's not really a complainer like that."

Towards the end of the interview, the guys took the chance to get Foster's thoughts on the potential of Ray Rice signing with a team, and how the Steelers locker room would react if the team signed Rice.

"Would I give him my blessing?" Foster said. "As far as a football player and what he's capable of doing, yeah, but there also has to be a sit-down with him. He has to address the issue with the team. We'd have guys on our team that were directly affected by what he did as far as, you know, in the personal upbringing. A guy like Will Gay has gone through that type of situation as a kid. It would be very touchy, but I think our team could manage it in a way that maybe we can work around that. The issue would have to be heavily addressed before any signing will happen."

Foster joins The Fan Morning Show Tuesdays at 8 a.m.
