Garth Brooks Adds 3 More Shows To Tour Stop In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - It has been nearly two decades since Garth Brooks has performed in Pittsburgh.

Now, he is on a world tour with his wife, Trisha Yearwood. He booked three shows at Consol Energy Center for February, but the demand was so high, that he just added three more shows.

Fans had the chance to start buying tickets at 10 a.m. Friday.

Several fans called in to the "jimmy and Monty In the Morning Show" on Y108 today, to find out how they could get their tickets for the concert.

Callers are being directed to Ticketmaster.com.

"He's created a virtual way everybody can have an equal shot getting tickets and every ticket is just $69, fees included," Monty said.

Brooks made special appearances through the show all morning long.

Brooks was asked what moments he looks forward to every night.

"Just wait. Each song has its own moment. There's nobody more excited about Garth Brooks on tour than Garth Brooks," he said.

Brooks hasn't been to Pittsburgh since 1997 because he took time off to raise his three daughters. Now, he's back in action and it's a show you don't want to miss.

"It's accessible, intimate, emotional. One you will have to experience," Monty said.

Garth Brooks' first show is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m. at Consol Energy Center.

On Friday, Feb. 6 he has two shows scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 7 he has two shows scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 8, Brooks has a show scheduled for 7 p.m.
