Water Main Break Shuts Down Part Of Route 51

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A water main break caused some traffic issues on Route 51 Friday evening.

Pennsylvania American Water was called to the scene to shut off the water after the 12-inch main broke.

It shut down the road in both directions between Maxwell Drive in Whitehall and Streets Run Road in Baldwin.

The southbound side has reopened, but the northbound side is still closed.
