Man Injured After Being Beaten With Oxygen Tank In Fayette County

POINT MARION (KDKA) - Police have charged a Fayette County man with aggravated assault, after he allegedly beat another man with an oxygen tank.

The incident happened around 6 p.m. Tuesday at a home on Railroad Street in Point Marion.

According to police, officers were called to the home because of a disturbance, and the suspect, 33-year-old Dwayne Bair, refused to leave.

Police say Bair tried to punch 46-year-old Jeffrey Mullenax in the face, but missed. The two fell to the floor and Bair connected with a punch. Police say he then grabbed a small metal oxygen tank and struck Mullenax in the face.

Mullenax had cuts to his mouth and a large contusion to the left side of his jaw. He was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Bair was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.
