Fire Destroys Home In Westmoreland County

SEWICKLEY TWP. (KDKA)- Firefighters were called to the scene of a big fire this morning in Sewickley Township, Westmoreland County.

The fire started around 3:45 a.m. at a home on Beacon Light Road, between Sever Lane and Greensburg Pike.

There were initial reports of someone possibly being trapped. However, when crews arrived on scene, everyone inside had already made it out safely.

The family's two pets are still missing and the home is a total loss.

The county fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate the cause.

Crews were still spraying the house with water around 6 a.m.
