Watch: Penguins, Capitals Take Brawl Inside Pens' Bench

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Last night's 4-3 victory for the Penguins over the Washington Capitals offered fans a little bit of everything from goals, to big hits and even a brawl inside the Pens' bench.

Heading into Wednesday night's matchup, many had wondered if the Pens would retaliate against Alex Ovechkin after his dirty play on Kris Letang the last time these two teams met.

Things remained relatively calm in the early portions of the game. After the Pens took a 1-0 lead, things started to get chippy. Around the 12-minute mark into the first period a brawl broke out that spilled into the Pens' bench.

The brawl broke out when Blake Comeau put Capitals forward Tom Wilson in a headlock and threw him into the Pens' bench.  Things only escalated from there as Steve Downie joined in on the action.

When all was said and done, both Comeau and Downie received minors for roughing along with Wilson and Capitals forward Michael Latta, who also ended up in the Pens' bench.

Unfortunately, this was the last time these two teams will meet this year, but we can always hope for a rematch in the playoffs.
