Paralyzed Dog Can Now Wag Her Tail Again

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- There is good news for the little beagle mix found paralyzed in Penn Hills last month.

And she's wagging her tail about it!

Yep, that's right; Gracie can now wag her tail. The Animal Rescue League posted the latest update on Gracie's condition Friday afternoon saying she has also gained some control of her hind legs.

While they say it's still unclear whether she'll ever gain full use of her legs, Gracie is continuing physical therapy.

She also had a checkup at the Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center on Thursday where her therapists did some "tail walking" with her.

That means, says the Animal Rescue League, that they held "her at the base of her tail and had her use her feet."

Video posted on their Facebook page shows Gracie using a wheelchair to get around and barking and howling.
