Police: 47-Year-Old Man Got Teen Girl Drunk, Sexually Assaulted Her
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A 47-year-old man from Washington County is charged with having sex with a 15-year-old girl and buying her booze, cigarettes and a cell phone.
Evan Bell, of Charleroi, is charged on 12 counts, including statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors and reckless endangerment, in addition to others.
Police say he had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl between October and January.
In that time frame, Police say Bell also bought the girl alcohol, such as MadDog 20/20 and got her so drunk that she was sickened on at least one occasion. He allegedly bought her cigarettes, as well.
Police say Bell also gave her a cell phone so he could contact her without her parents knowing.
It's unclear how Bell knew the victim, but police say he pursued her knowing that the girl's parents had forbidden contact between the two.
Bell is currently in the Washington County Jail on a $250,000 straight cash bond.
