Pedro Alvarez Limited With Elbow Injury
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - The Pirates announced Monday that first baseman Pedro Alvarez missed the last few games with discomfort in his right elbow caused by a mild hyperextension on a swing, as the club put it, "a few days ago."
Alvarez is expected to miss a few more games but will be able to partake in some workout activities as tolerated.
He was seen on Monday going through some infield drills in the morning before the team played host to the Minnesota Twins at McKechnie Field.
