Greensburg Salem Teacher Arrested A Third Time, Accused Of Huffing Again

MOUNT PLEASANT (KDKA) -- A Westmoreland County teacher who was arrested twice on the same day earlier this month has now been arrested a third time.

Brian Minick, a 39-year-old teacher in the Greensburg Salem School District, is already facing DUI charges following his arrests on March 7.

Watch Ross Guidotti's report from March 11:

According to the criminal complaint, Minick was taken into custody again on Monday in Mount Pleasant after he was caught allegedly huffing an industrial strength cleaner in his pickup truck.

Police say they found Minick in his truck in the middle of the intersection of Center Avenue and Cooks Way. The criminal complaint reports police could "see the driver taking a large aerosol can up to his face."

While taking him into custody, police say Minick's truck almost hit a police car and he had to be removed from the vehicle.

The criminal complaint reports officers found two 10 ounce cans of Ultra Duster Industrial Strength cleaner in the truck.

Minick was taken to a nearby hospital for a blood test.

Earlier this month, police said they found painkillers in Minick's truck after he was involved in an accident. A few hours later, authorities said he was caught huffing behind the wheel after police told him not to drive following the initial arrest.

The Greensburg Salem School District placed Minick on leave following his first two arrests.
