1 Dead, 3 Injured In Hill District Shootings

HILL DISTRICT (KDKA)- Pittsburgh Police are looking into two shootings that happened on Easter Sunday in the Hill District.

Around 5:20 p.m. on Sunday, an officer was in the Zone 2 station's parking lot when he heard shots on Dinwiddie Street. When officers arrived at the scene, the found a gray Volvo that was shot several times was on Wick Street.

Three men inside the car had fled the scene. Two of them were found on Dinwiddie and taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital.

The driver of the car, 20-year-old Christopher Richardson, was found on Kearney Way. He had a fatal gunshot wound to his torso.

So far, no arrests have been made in the shootings.

While police were processing the shooting scene, 21-year-old Aaron Myrick attempted to enter the taped off crime scene. One officer was knocked down by Myrick and another officer was forced to use a Taser on him. Myrick was arrested and taken to the Allegheny County Jail.

Around the same time as the shooting near Dinwiddie Street, a male shooting victim was discovered outside in the 200-block of Burrows Street in Oak Hill. The man had injuries to his lower back that were possibly caused by bullet fragments.

He was taken to UMPC Presbyterian Hospital, but there is no word on his condition. Zone 2 is investigating.
