Connellsville Cop Charged With Accepting Sexual Favors From Girl, 16

CONNELLSVILLE (KDKA) – A Connellsville Police officer is facing charges after allegedly accepting sexual favors from a teenager.

According to police, the incidents happened between October 2013 and June 2014 in various locations around Fayette County.

Ryan Reese, 42, of Connellsville, allegedly accepted sexual favors from the 16-year-old girl in exchange for him not filing drug charges stemming from an Oct. 2, 2013, incident.

"It basically involves him having inappropriate contact with a minor for what she believed was in exchange for not filing criminal charges against her, or leniency with criminal charges that had been filed against her with drug charges," said Trooper Stefani Lucas, of Pennsylvania State Police.

According to investigators, it was the victim's mother who called state police over concerns regarding the nature of her daughter's relationship with Reese.

"From what I understand, it happened in various locations - his vehicle was one of the location," said Trooper Lucas. "Her testimony was also that his work vehicle was involved also."

According to the grand jury presentment, Reese told the grand jurors that he did have sex with the girl, but only once, and he didn't remember when. He also said the victim allegedly was relentless and pressured him and he eventually gave in.

Reese is facing a list of charges including, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and indecent assault.

He is free on $10,000 bond.
