2 Charged With Leaving Girl, 1, In Car Outside Of Fayette Co. Bar

SOUTH UNION TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Two people are facing charges after leaving a 1-year-old girl in a car, outside of a bar in Fayette County on Friday.

According to police, the incident happened outside of the 19th Hole Bar in the 500-block of McClellandtown Road in South Union Township.

When police arrived around 11:40 p.m., they observed the child sleeping in the back of a Chevrolet Impala.

Officers then located two people inside the bar, who were responsible for the child.

The suspects have been identified as 45-year-old Tammy Lynn Price and 72-year-old Albert Core Sr.

The child was removed the vehicle and was warm to the touch, sweating and her hair was wet.

"If you remember this past weekend, it was really hot, really hot and humid," said Trooper Stefani Lucas, of Pennsylvania State Police. "The child appeared to be suffering from a slight bit of heat exposure."

Price is facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child, reckless endangering and drug possession.

Core Sr. is facing charges of reckless endangering and disorderly conduct.

"It appears in this case it wasn't an accident; it was done intentionally while they went into the establishment," said Trooper Lucas.
