Ex-Boyfriend Of Woman Found Dead In East Hills Arrested In N.J.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A man whose ex-girlfriend was found dead with her grandmother last week in a home in the East Hills is now in police custody.

Police say Cesar Mazza was taken into custody at 6:30 p.m. Friday after leaving a home in Newark, New Jersey.

He was arrested by U.S. Marshals, according to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Mazza is the ex-boyfriend of 19-year-old Tionna Banks.

She and her grandmother, 72-year-old Valerie Crumpton, were found dead in Crumpton's home on Karl Street back on May 7.

A warrant for Mazza's arrest was issued the next day. He is not charged in the women's deaths.

He was wanted for failing to appear in court on assault charges.

Banks filed a protection from abuse order against Mazza last October.

Earlier this week, the Allegheny County Sheriff's Department put Mazza on their Most Wanted List.
