Local Kids Learn Safety Tips At Bike Rodeo

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Children were learning about bike safety over the weekend in Glenshaw.

Etna, Millvale and Shaler police held their annual Bike Rodeo at Kiwanis Park.

There was an obstacle course, where the kids learned the rules of the road.

They also had bike and helmet inspections.

"This is a wonderful thing the community's doing to help the children get tested for the helmets, test their bikes, just make sure there's safety, everything's in place. We come out to just be a part of the community," said father Phil Gunde.

The kids got some treats as well, and there was a bike raffle.
