Man Arrested After Allegedly Exposing Self To 3 Kids At Beaver Co. McDonald's

BEAVER (KDKA) – A man wanted for allegedly exposing himself to three kids at a Beaver County McDonald's has been arrested.

The alleged incident happened back on April 13 at the restaurant in Vanport Township.

Police released surveillance footage of the suspect shortly after the incident. On Monday, someone recognized him walking into a grocery store in Beaver and called police.

"They said that gentleman that you are looking for is here in the store. I said, 'Hang on, we'll be right over,'" said Officer Ken Stahl, of Beaver Police.

He is now being identified as 46-year-old Richard Wells of Beaver. Police say he works at a restaurant in Robinson Township.

Wells is accused of initially exposing himself to two kids in the bathroom. He then followed them out into the seating area.

After the two kids left the restaurant, they returned later with a third kid. The suspect was reportedly still in the area and followed them back inside McDonald's.

At that time, he allegedly exposed himself again in the restroom.

"He came with us over to the station talk to us about the incident," said Officer Stahl. "He admitted to exposing himself and appropriately, but would not go any further with that."

Officer Ken Stahl, who is also the school resource officer at Beaver High School, says the boys came to his office a few days after the alleged incident telling him what happened, and he credits them with doing an excellent job of describing the suspect.
