Fire Rips Through Indiana County Pet Store

WHITE TOWNSHIP (KDKA)- Firefighters rushed to the scene of a fire at a pet store in Indiana County early Thursday morning.

The fire started just after midnight at Pearce's Pet Place on Rustic Lodge Road in White Township.

Fire spread through the store and an upstairs apartment. Fire officials did not say how bad the damage was.

It is unclear if any animals were hurt or killed in the fire. The pet store sells both domestic and exotic animals.

State Police told KDKA-TV that the fire wasn't anything major.

The cause is under investigation.
