Police: Vandals Used Spray Paint & Toilet Paper At North Allegheny H.S.

WEXFORD (KDKA)- Police were called to North Allegheny High School early Friday morning after reports of vandalism,

According to police, a janitor spotted six kids running from the high school around 2 a.m. The high school is located just off of Route 19 in Wexford.

Some parts of the outside of the building and band trailers were spray painted.

Police found cans of spray paint discarded at the scene.

The North Allegheny School District says there was also graffiti inside, but that everything was cleaned up in time for school Friday morning.

In addition to the spray paint, the vandals covered the auditorium in toilet paper.

The district says footage from surveillance cameras is now under review.

McCandless police say there were no signs of forced entry, so just how the kids were able to get inside is under investigation.

Former students are also perplexed.

"I know that school is very locked down after school is closed. It makes me wonder. It does," Chris Chiocchi said.

Those responsible could face criminal mischief charges and have to pay for the cost of cleaning up the mess.

Next Thursday marks the last day of classes for students at N.A.  Graduation is Friday, June 12.
