Thousands "Man Up" For Father's Day Race On North Shore

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – It's a Father's Day tradition.

More than 2,000 runners and walkers gathered on the North Shore to urge guys to "Man Up" and get checked out for prostate cancer.

It's sponsored by the Obediah Cole Foundation, which is named after former Steeler, Robin Cole's father.

Robin lost his father to prostate cancer.

He and his brothers are all survivors of the disease that kills about 30,000 men in this country every year.

It's a curable cancer if detected early. That means you need to man-up and get a blood test, especially if you're over the age of 40.
