SWAT Called To Home In South Park

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A SWAT situation in South Park has ended peacefully.

Our news partners at the Post-Gazette reported that a woman was barricaded inside with a weapon.

The home is located on Curry Road.

She has since surrendered peacefully.

"Nice, smooth operation," said South Park Township Police Chief Dennis McDonough. "No one got hurt, that's the most important thing. Now we're going to return the neighborhood back to the regular Saturday afternoon."

The woman was taken to a medical facility to be evaluated.
