Pittsburgh Ranked Third "Best Foodie City"
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh has been ranked No. 3 of Livability.com's 2015 "Top 10 Best Foodie Cities," behind Coral Gables, Florida, and Omaha, Nebraska.
According to a press release, Pittsburgh restaurants including Primanti Brothers, Cafe Du Jour, and Gaucho Parrilla Argentina "continuously receive good reviews from both local and national food critics."
Livability.com's editors searched for cities with high concentrations of restaurants and bars, locations where residents choose local restaurants over chains, and where healthy markets are accessible.
James Beard Award winners, Michelin stars, and even Yelp reviews were also considered.
Pittsburgh "provides residents with an innovative and eclectic mix of restaurants and delicious food to eat," according to the release, making its top-third spot "well-cemented."
