Wedding Bells Ring For Penguins' Kris Letang

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- This will be an off-season to remember for Pittsburgh Penguins star Kris Letang.

The defenseman took to Instagram Saturday to announce he has tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Catherine Laflamme.

For his wedding day selfie with his new wife, he wrote:

"Proud to be married to the most wonderful woman in the world #krisandcath"

And it looks as though some of Letang's Penguins teammates were also in attendance including, Sidney Crosby, Marc-Andre Fleury, David Perron and Pascal Dupuis.

Letang and his wife have a young son together.

Last season, Letang was sidelined with a concussion after falling awkwardly into the boards after getting hit during a game on March 28.

He has since been cleared to resume working out.

Last month, he was a finalist for the Bill Masterton Trophy at the annual NHL Awards.

Wedding bells seem to be in the air for Pittsburgh athletes. Earlier this week, Pirates pitcher Gerrit Cole's girlfriend took to Instagram to announce that they had gotten engaged.
