CCAC Holding Open House For Military Members And Their Families
CCAC is holding a special open house for current and former servicemen and women, their spouses and their children next month.
The open house will be at all four campuses - Allegheny Campus (North Shore), Boyce Campus (Monroeville), North Campus (McCandless) and South Campus (West Mifflin) - on Aug. 6 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
CCAC employees will be there to provide assistance with:
• Military and VA benefits information
• Admissions information
• Academic assistance
• Financial aid information
• Campus tours
• Career assistance
• Workshops: Transfer planning—prepare for transfer to a four-year institution; Resume writing—translate military skills to civilian skills on a resume; Prior Learning Assessment—get college credit for skills learned in the military.
Those who attend are asked to bring their Joint Services Transcript, discharge papers and Certificate of Eligibility.
CCAC is now giving in-state, in-county tuition rates to all current and former members of the U.S. Armed Forces, including reservists, their spouses and their children, regardless of where they reside.
